Local Coordinate System (PE)

Plant Engineering > Settings > Others > Local coordinate system

Use the functions of this menu to influence the local coordinate system.

On connection
With this function you can snap the required connecting point with the Autopilot. You can specify whether the z-axis of the CS is orientated in or opposite the direction of the connection surface vector, HiCAD then positions the local coordinate system so that its origin is set on the selected connecting point and the z-axis runs in the specified direction. The y-axis is aligned so that it lies on a plane parallel to the x-y plane of the drawing coordinate system.

On guideline
If you identify an edge (belonging to a guideline), HiCAD sets the local coordinate system on it. You can specify whether the origin is set on the start or endpoint of the edge. The Z-axis is either aligned in or opposite the edge direction. The y-axis is aligned so that it lies on a plane parallel to the XY-plane of the drawing coordinate system.

New origin
This option enables you to move the coordinate system by selecting a point option and specifying a new CS origin.

Activate World CS
This function switches to the World CS.
